About Practical Answers Hub

Practical Answers Hub (PAH) is an independent practical-information website built around a simple idea: a useful answer should help you do something next.

Rather than stopping at a short definition, we aim to connect questions to clear explanations, calculators, tutorials, worked examples and practical next steps. Current subject areas include electronics and Arduino, campervans and leisure power, EVs, technology comparisons, household equipment and other everyday technical questions.

How we build our guides

We try to separate facts from estimates. Where a page involves calculations, we explain the assumptions behind them. Where a subject depends on a product specification, regulation or published research, we aim to use suitable source material and make clear when figures are approximate rather than guaranteed.

Our newer engineering tutorials are deliberately practical. The Arduino programme, for example, works from breadboards and individual components through complete circuits, code, testing and design scenarios. The aim is not just to provide a finished answer, but to show how the answer was reached.

What PAH is not

PAH is not a substitute for a qualified professional where safety, law, medical care, structural work or regulated electrical work is involved. Calculators and lifespan guides are planning tools, not guarantees that a particular product, battery, vehicle or appliance will behave exactly as estimated.

Corrections and feedback

If you spot an error, an outdated specification, a broken link or something that could be explained more clearly, please use our contact page. Useful corrections help us improve the underlying page rather than simply adding more content.

Commercial links

Some pages may contain affiliate links or advertising. Where applicable, these help support the site. Commercial relationships do not change the goal of the page: the information should still be useful without requiring a purchase.
