Practical Answers Hub · Camera Decision Tool 2026

Which camera phone should I buy?

Choose the photography and video jobs that matter to you. The selector uses the published 2026 camera specifications of Galaxy S26 Ultra, iPhone 17 Pro Max and Pixel 10 Pro XL. It does not pretend that a spec sheet can judge colour science or image processing.

Best technical fit—

Galaxy S26 UltraMost expansive rear-camera hardware: 200MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 5x and 3x telephoto cameras, plus 100x AI zoom.
iPhone 17 Pro MaxThree 48MP rear cameras and the strongest published professional-video toolset here, including ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2.
Pixel 10 Pro XL50/48/48MP rear system, 5x optical telephoto, 100x Pro Zoom and a standout 42MP autofocus front camera.

Why the answer changes

If you care most about rear-camera breadth and zoom hardware, Samsung’s specification is difficult to beat. If you work with professional video formats, Apple publishes a more specialised recording feature set. If the front camera matters heavily, Google’s 42MP autofocus selfie camera changes the balance.

That is why PAH does not label one phone “best” without defining the job first. The selector is a technical shortlist, not a substitute for looking at real sample images before spending flagship-phone money.
